PS3 is Take-Two’s biggest revenue generator

Take-Two has joined the growing list of third-party publishers that are seeing bigger incoming revenue streams from the PlayStation 3 than any other console. Though the company is still posting losses to the tune of USD 15 million, the number is down a significant amount in comparison to last year.

While this may sound like a step in the right direction, it might be worth remembering much of the company’s fortunes can be attributed to the mega money printing sequel known as Grand Theft Auto IV. Outside of the Rockstar crime romp, Take-Two cites Carnival Games (Wii) and Midnight Club: Los Angeles as their other two big sellers of 2008.

The PlayStation 3 accounted for 35% of total revenue with the 360 pulling up second at 28% and the Wii a distant third with 11%.
