So what’s new? Firstly, the User Interface has been completely revamped with new system backgrounds, while system icons have been redesigned. PS4’s interface is obviously high regarded among gamers, so Sony is keen to point out that the "overall look and feel of the UI remains the same—it just has a fresh coat of paint."

Elsewhere, the Quick Menu has been improved for faster and easier access. It’s smaller now, and you won’t need to exit out of a game to access it. New shortcuts have also been put in place, meaning you won’t have to head back to the Home screen to see who is online or to access your party. You can also customise the menu to reflect your activities.

The Share Menu has seen some notably tweaks, chiefly the Twitter video clips, which have been increased from 10 seconds to 140 seconds. In addition, the Twitter menu has decreased in size, and now saves the last social network you saved content to, allowing for a more seamless experience.
