Dual Effect Games, the developer behind Tormented Souls, has joined the growing chorus of studios to wax lyrical about the PS5 DualSense controller, revealing the device will be ‘transcendent for horror games.’

Speaking with SegmentNext, the developer said the horror genre is sure to benefit greatly from the added functionality of the PS5 DualSense, which features haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
I think that DualSense would be very transcendent for horror games on PS5, since it will help to increase player insertion in the experience. I can imagine a transparent plastic artifact full of spiders that you have manipulated with your hands using the joystick movement sensors, while you can feel all those little spider legs going wild through your palm.
Sony has scheduled a holiday 2020 launch window for the PS5, with rumors pointing to a November 13 release for the new console.
