PS5 OS Info Due ‘Soon’ Says Insider, Teases ‘Deep Level Integration’ With Games

Twitter user and renowned industry tipster Daniel Ahmad has revealed that we’ll be getting more news on the PS5 OS in the near future, which should include ‘deep level integration’ with games for a better user experience.

PS5 OS News Coming Soon

Ahmad’s comments come following mention of a PlayStation Activities feature, which has yet to be revealed by Sony. This also harkens back to a Wired interview with Mark Cerny last year, which mentioned a ‘revamped’ user interface.

The PS5 is due for release in holiday 2020 alongside the Xbox Series X from Microsoft, and there’s no delay in sight despite the issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sony has yet to announce a PS5 price point, but has said that the console will offer the best possible value proposition. A recent listing on Amazon France has indicated the system is going to cost €499/€399 for the standard and Digital-Only Edition, respectively.
