Yesterday’s PS5 teardown showcased what we can expect from our PS5 hardware. As noted by VG247, the video confirmed that the PS5 is using a Wi-Fi 6 wireless antenna, that also supports Bluetooth 5.1. Wi-Fi 6 allows for a new maximum speed of 9.6Gbps, in comparison to the Xbox Series X that is equipped with a Wi-Fi antenna that supports Wi-Fi 5.
Not only that, the PS5 has a USB-C port that will support 10Gbps transfer speeds. The teardown also confirms that the USB-A ports are also capable of the same speeds. By comparison, The Xbox Series X/S does not come equipped with USB-C ports at all, and the USB-A ports it does have will run at the standard 5Gbps.
