Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 owners looking to transfer their data from PS4 over to PS5 this week should probably be aware that the patch to manually upload your last-gen data has now been released. Yes, this is yet another game that requires a manual transfer of your save data.
The reminder comes via video game journalist Jeff Gerstmann on Twitter.

Sony’s strategy for handling cross-generation save data has been heavily criticised by folk, suggesting it pales in comparison to Microsoft’s Smart Delivery service, which doesn’t require you to manually upload anything.
Marvel’s Avengers is another game that requires the player to follow a series of steps in order to shift their saves to the PS5 version of the game, and you must have the PS4 version installed too, which is a pain for those who uninstalled it ahead of the new version of the game.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 was released for PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One in September 2020, and will be hitting PS5 this week, albeit without the option of a free upgrade for standard edition owners.
