According to a report published by bot detection outfit Netacea, scalper bots are finally beginning to lose interest in PS5 as the console passes its second anniversary this month.
The Quarterly Index from Netacea reveals the top five products that scalper bots have targeted during the third quarter of this year, and PS5 no longer occupies a spot in the top three. Instead, it’s slipped to four, so it’s still being targeted albeit not quite as much as before.
Here’s the top five items that scalper bots targeted between July — September 2022:
- Adidas Yeezy Slide Bone
- Nike Dunk Low Panda
- Panini Donruss Optic Football Trading Cards
- PlayStation 5
- Jordan 1 Retro Low OG UNC
This is the first time the PlayStation 5 has not made the top three in our Index, a reflection of the slight reduction in bots targeting the console due to stock increases. However, its resale value has remained stable, with only a 2% drop since last quarter.
