Battlefield 6 publisher Electronic Arts has revealed that it is fully aware of the requests among fans for naval warfare in the upcoming military shooter.
Speaking in a new Community Update, EA touched base on a number of things the team was able to learn from the 92,351,578 hours during the Open Beta, as well as the 30 Battlefield Labs sessions. This includes Kills Per Hour, which EA says remained ‘virtually consistent’ for both playlist types, and Class Pick Rates, which it says was determined by map layout. The company also mentioned about its post-launch support with Season 1 (more on that can be seen here), but had the following to say regarding its plans beyond that:
There is much more to look forward to beyond our Seasons as our team continues reviewing Battlefield Labs data, player feedback, and ideating on completely new ideas for the future, starting with an exciting new Battlefield take on Battle Royale. Separately, requests for naval warfare have not gone unnoticed, nor have the calls for a certain fan-favorite little helicopter, platoons, and more.

As previously reported, physical copies of Battlefield 6 have made their way into the hands of players, with the PS5 version of the game featuring the whole experience on the disc. In an addition, an email that was distributed by EA confirmed that Battlefield 6 on consoles can reach up to 120 FPS, and analysts have predicted that the game will sell as much as five million copies in its first week.
Battlefield 6 is pencilled in for release on October 10, 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
