Capcom has officially announced Resident Evil 4 Remake for the PS5 during Sony’s State of Play event, alongside a release date: March 24, 2023.
The game has been rumored for more than 18 months now, although it’s only now that we’ve got an official confirmation. The trailer showcases a darker tone in comparison to the original, with snippets of dialogue from Leon S. Kennedy, Luis Sera, and a few other characters.
Resident Evil 4 Remake will also support PSVR 2 content of some description, although Capcom didn’t go into any details.

Capcom originally released Resident Evil 4 in early 2005 for the Nintendo GameCube, before porting the game to numerous other platforms over the past decade or so. The game sees Leon attempting to rescue the president’s daughter from a strange cult in a remote region of Europe, with the story set six years after the destruction of Raccoon City.
