Resident Evil 7 announced, coming January 2017 with PS VR support

Sony has announced Resident Evil 7: biohazard at E3 2016 for PlayStation 4.

The upcoming survival horror title will be fully playable on PlayStation VR, with the trailer confirming that the game was in fact based upon Capcom’s Kitchen VR tech demo from last year.

While no characters were revealed, the footage depicted an individual skulking around a creepy, delapidated house, only to spy a mysterious figure passing by a doorway. The demo ends when the player locates and views a VHS tape, which showcases a variety of gruesome scenes.

Resident Evil 7 is scheduled for release on PS4 on January 27, 2017.
