Capcom has unveiled a Resident Evil 7 Collector’s Edition unboxing video, offering a closer glimpse at what you’ll get in the box come launch day next week in Europe.
As previously reported, the European CE differs slightly from its U.S. counterpart, with the most obvious difference being that the Baker mansion replica in the PAL version is larger but lacks the music box functionality of its North American cousin. Resident Evil 7 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on January 24, 2017. If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber then you can pick up a free theme for your PS4, and Capcom plans on rolling out some free DLC for the upcoming survival horror game at some point this spring.
Set four years after Resident Evil 6, this latest installment in the popular horror franchise introduces a brand new protagonist in the shape of Ethan Winters; a regular joe who is a major departure from the trained S.T.A.R.S./BSAA operatives of past games. Resi 7 takes place on a mysterious plantation in Louisiana, where Winters is searching for his missing wife, Mia, only to find himself stalked by the seemingly immortal Baker family.
