Respawn Entertainment Will Reveal Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order In April

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Reveal

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order from Respawn Entertainment will get an official reveal at the Star Wars Celebration during a special panel on Saturday, April 13. The Star Wars Celebration runs from April 11 – 15 and will be held in Chicago.

It was May 4, 2016, when Respawn Entertainment first announced that they were going to be working on a Star Wars game. Since that announcement, they have been extremely secretive and silent until Vince Zampella revealed a few details at 2018’s E3 including the title, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Is Expected To Release In 2019

It will take place between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, which was a very dark time in the galaxy as Emperor Palpatine attempted to exterminate the Jedi. Very few details are known about Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order other than it is a third person action adventure game where players will step into the lightsaber of a Padawan who has managed to escape the Jedi genocide of Order 66. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is expected to release later this year just in time for the holidays.

You play as a Padawan who has survived Palpatine’s Great Jedi Purge.

Respawn Entertainment has already had a remarkable year since they stealth dropped Apex Legends a few weeks ago. The surprise release of the free to play Battle Royale game has been a huge success that had over twenty-million gamers playing Apex Legends within days.

Since 2016 Respawn has been quietly assembling a second-team separate from their Titanfall / Apex Legends squad that is being led by Stig Asmussen formerly of Sony Santa Monica Studios. God of War fans will surely recognize Asmussen as the lead environment artist of the series who then took over as game director for God Of War 3 after Cory Barlog stepped down.

A New Hope

EA has divided fans with their poor handling of the Star Wars franchise which includes the abominable Battlefront 2 loot box controversy as well as the cancellation of the Amy Hennig led Star Wars game code name Ragtag from Visceral Games. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is one of Playstation Universe’s most anticipated games of 2019. After too many disappointing Star Wars games we hope Respawn can finally restore order to the galaxy.
