Jeff Grubb has claimed on his latest YouTube show that Assassin’s Creed will be getting the much-requested Japan setting.
According to Grubb, the Japanese setting will form part of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, or possibly the next game after, which he says will be more of a traditional RPG like we’ve seen with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
The one coming up after all this other stuff supposedly, or maybe it is part of Infinite, I don’t know, but it’ll be much like the RPG ones, and it’s going to be set in Japan.
It’s interesting that Grubb mentions another game after Infinity, as that is supposedly going to be the future of Assassin’s Creed going forward, with no more traditional games planned. However, he does make it clear the Japan setting could form part of Infinity itself.
