Rumor – Konami To Unveil New Castlevania Game, Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake At E3 2023

According to the newly-launched VGC podcast, Konami has major plans for this year’s E3 and will announce a new Castlevania game alongside the long-rumored Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Remake.

This is all part of Konami’s plans to re-launch both franchises, and in the case of Metal Gear Solid 3, the remake will be used to gauge interest in the series.

VGC goes on to say that it’s possible the Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake could be announced before E3, possibly at a Sony event. It also mentions a Metal Gear Solid Remastered Collection featuring the first two games, which is dependant on how successful the remake is.

As mentioned, we’ve heard chatter about a Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake before, and it’s believed to be in development at Virtuous Studios. Back in October 2021, an employee teased development of an unannounced triple-A remake, which would certainly fit the bill of Metal Gear Solid 3.

Beyond this, it’s also rumored that there is a remake of Metal Gear Solid in the works, but that has yet to be confirmed.
