Rumour — New PS5 Pro Revision Coming Soon With Minor Improvements

Reliable tipsters Dealabs have revealed that Sony is looking to release a new PS5 Pro revision in Europe, which is listed as model CFI-7121.

Right now it’s not known if this version of Sony’s high-end console will end up in the US, and the improvements to the console have not yet been detailed. However, going by previous iterations of Sony hardware, it is likely to prove more efficient from an energy perspective, and storage has not reportedly been affected. In this regard, the new PS5 Pro revision will maintain the current 2TB SSD storage.

A release date for the PS5 Pro CFI-7121 is reportedly set for September 30, 2025 and is expected to retail for €799.99.

While we’re on the subject of PS5 Pro, it has been reported by Moore’s Law Is Dead that the console will receive a major FSR 4 visual upgrade in the first quarter of 2026. PS5 architect Mark Cerny previously revealed that an update is planned for next year that will offer a co-developed solution partially derived from FSR 4, although it’s important to note that this will not PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) in its entirety.

Elsewhere, rumours have continued to gather pace on the PS6, which is reportedly set to arrive alongside a dedicated handheld device.
