Rumour – PS5 Pro Dev Kits Are Being Sent To First-Party Devs In Next Few Months

Leaker Tom Henderson has revealed in a new report that development kits for the long-rumoured PS5 Pro are making their way into the hands of first-party studios within the next few months.

Henderson claimed that third-party developers will be receiving their own dev kits for the PS5 Pro — which Henderson says is happening “with a 100% degree of certainty” — by the end of the year.

This isn’t the only gossip we’ve heard on the PS5 Pro, and most of it comes from Henderson. Previously, Insider-Gaming claimed that the PS5 Pro would be released in late 2024, but would be preceded by another rummer piece of hardware — the PS5 with a detachable disc drive.

Oddly enough, Henderson had said a few months ago that he had heard more about the PS6 than PS5 Pro, although clearly Sony has kicked things into motion regarding its PS5 refresh.

Sony launched the PS5 in November 2020 and announced last week that the system has moved over 38 million units worldwide.
