Sony could be working on a SOCOM game for the PS5, after listing for something called ‘SOCOM 111′ was spotted on the resume for David Veach, an actor who sadly passed away two years ago in January 2022.
According to the resume, Veach performed motion capture for the SOCOM project, although right now there hasn’t been anything confirmed by Sony and there’s no way to verify exactly what this title is. SOCOM has been out of the picture for years now, but back in 2019 it was claimed by insider Tidux that Guerrilla Games had been brought in to revive the franchise.

While some have speculated that Veach’s listing of SOCOM 111 is another way of writing SOCOM 3 (or III), it’s worth mentioning that he doesn’t appear on that game’s credits or on his IMDB profile. However, the project may not even be in development still, so don’t take this as confirmation that a SOCOM PS5 game is definitely happening.
John Garvin, a former developer with Sony Bend and creative director on Days Gone, revealed back in 2021 that he would interesting in working on a SOCOM game if given the opportunity.
