Xbox Game Studios and Ninja Theory have announced that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will launch for PS5 on August 12, 2025, which will arrive alongside the Enhanced update for Xbox Series X/S.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is now available to preorder digitally for the standard and deluxe editions of the game, with the latter featuring a PS5-enhanced version of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and its accompanying soundtrack. If you already own the PS4 version of the original Hellblade, then you are entitled to a free upgrade to the PS5 version.

The PS5 version of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will feature a Performance Mode allowing users to experience the game at a buttery-smooth 60 FPS, which is really highlighted during the more fast-moving sections of the game including combat Beyond that, there’s a Photo Mode that has been enhanced for this release, with improvements to various settings as well as a Motion tab for custom cinematic video capture.
Originally released for the PC and Xbox Series X/S in May 2024, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is the critically acclaimed follow-up to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, and sees the titular heroine returning for a new adventure that sees her battling tough the Viking Iceland during the 9th century. You’ll have to navigate treacherous terrain, including ice-covered slopes and storm-battered coastlines as you battle with your inner demons, including Senua’s struggle against psychosis.
