SEGA has announced that a brand new Sonic the Hedgehog game, Sonic Superstars, is coming to PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in Fall 2023.
The game takes the form of a 2D platformer albeit with a new visual style, so it won’t use the same retro aesthetic as Sonic Mania. The classic Sonic gameplay looks to be in tact however, with characters including Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy all playable. It also supports multiple players at once in co-op.
Sonic Superstars is due out in Fall 2023.
