Sony Removes Neil Druckmann Interview Due To ‘Errors And Inaccuracies That Don’t Represent His Perspective And Values’

Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed that it has pulled an interview with Naughty Dog bigwig Neil Druckmann due to its discovery of a number of inaccuracies that do no reflect the developer’s perspective on various topics, including AI and technology.

In re-reviewing our recent interview with Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann, we have found several significant errors and inaccuracies that don’t represent his perspective and values (including topics such as animation, writing, technology, AI, and future projects). We apologise to Neil for misrepresenting his words and for any negative impact this interview might have caused him and his team. In coordination with Naughty Dog and SIE, we have removed the interview.

Druckmann had previously commented that his interview quotes were not entirely accurate, noting that “some of my words, context, and intent were unfortunately lost.”

While on the subject of Naughty Dog, the Uncharted creator hasn’t yet announced its next project, but there’s plenty of speculation about what it could be. By far the biggest contender doing the rounds is The Last of Us Part 3, which has been rumoured as being in the works for some time now.

Druckmann himself has commented that he still feels there is more story to be told in regards to The Last of Us universe, but isn’t obviously in a position to confirm or deny that it’s in development.
