Spring launch for Punisher: No Mercy

Zen Studios has today confirmed that its arena-based first person shooter, The Punisher: No Mercy, will be released exclusively on the PlayStation Network this Spring.

Taking its inspiration from Marvel Comic’s ruthless anti-hero, and powered by Unreal Engine 3, The Punisher: No Mercy will offer a single player story mode, as well as an online multiplayer component designed for eight players and a number of team based modes.

Word has it that we’ll also be able to play as Punisher’s allies and villains, including the likes of Silver Sable, Jigsaw, Barracuda and Bushwacker.

The Punisher: No Mercy will be the first PlayStation game developed by Budapest-based, Zen Studios, whose work includes the Xbox live arcade games Pinball FX and Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Zen Studios says that we can expect a wild and bloody first person romp that brings the intense action of Frank Castle’s world to life.
