Heavy Rain creator Quantic Dream has revealed that it is still beavering away on Star Wars: Eclipse, despite the fact we haven’t seen much on the project at all since its initial reveal back in 2021.
David Cage penned a new blog post titled ‘Writing A New Chapter’ where he spoke about the current projects simmering away at the Detroit: Become Human developer, which include a multiplayer game. He didn’t have much to say about Star Wars Eclipse, but at least we know it’s still on the way.
“Of course, development of Star Wars: Eclipse continues, and we are eager to share more with you in the future,” said Cage.

Back in April 2025, concept art for Star Wars Eclipse surfaced online showcasing a number of species that are likely to be featured in the sci-fi epic, including Zenezian, Rodian, and Gungan folk. Quantic Dream has yet to set a release date for Star Wars Eclipse, although in May 2022 it shut down rumours that the project was in trouble after leaker Tom Henderson suggested the title wouldn’t be out until 2027 as the studio was struggling to hire staff.
