Bethesda’s Starfield topped the US software charts for the week ended April 11, 2026, Circana data has revealed, with the PS5 version of the game unsurprisingly taking the lion’s share of sales.
According to tracked physical and digital sales data for that period, the PS5 version of Starifeld – which only came out on April 7 – accounted for 95% of sales for the sci-fi title. Furthermore, Circana’s Mat Piscatella has revealed this is the first time that Starfield has topped the weekly best-selling titles chart since it originally released for PC and Xbox Series X/S in September 2023.
Starfield’s launch on PS5 was plagued by various bugs and crashes, resulting in many owners taking to social media to vent their frustrations and even demand refunds on the game. Bethesda did acknowledge the problems and soon released a patch to address some of the issues, although they were limited to PS5 Pro. However, it aims to release a separate patch for fix the remaining bugs hopefully this week.
