Unknown Worlds Entertainment has released a new Subnautica PS5 update, which includes the ability for the game to display resolutions above 1080p.
Here’s the lowdown from the post on Twitter:
An update is now available for Subnautica on PS5. This update fixes a bug that caused the game to be capped at 1080p resolution, as well as a base physics bug and crash fix. If you are still experiencing any issues, please continue to report via our feedback tool!

Subnautica was originally released for the PS4 and Xbox One in December 2018, and arrived for the PS5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X/S in May 2021. You can read our review of the PS5 version right here.
Thanks to the PS5’s compression technology, Subnautica is one of many games that features a considerably smaller file size on Sony’s new console in comparison to the PS4 edition.
