Madmind Studios, the team behind the gore horror-inspired game, Agony, has released a teaser trailer for its next project, Succubus.
Succubus Teaser Trailer
In fact, Succubus is not just another horror-themed game created by the same team. Succubus continues in the same universe as Agony, and Madmind Studios even classifies it as a spinoff to their first game. This time around, you play the part of a succubus named Vydija. The title of “succubus” yields its own implications, but early gameplay footage shows that combat plays a big role in the game. Take a look at the Succubus teaser trailer below
If you’re even more curious to learn more about the Succubus herself, the team created a Twitter page for that persona, called Vydija. This page is far from suitable for work, but it definitely commits to the character. Here’s an example:
I’m getting better at this pyrokinesis thing. I’ve learned how to attack few enemies at once! It makes eliminating them faster. And how they scream… pic.twitter.com/WYg7A81ptA

Madmind Studios posted an update on Agony’s Kickstarter page, detailing more about what to expect from Succubus. Some of the gameplay features included in the listing are:
- Intense and brutal action using weapons and pyrokinesis.
- Diversified opponents.
- Expandable skill tree.
- A system of weapons and armor that affect player’s statistics.
- Character and Hub customization.
- A rich and diverse world of Hell.
- A multi-story plot combining horror with action and survival.
- Hostile environment full of traps and enemies.
- Surreal visual setting and gore.
- Boss fights.
In the same listing, the team indicates that development is currently underway for Steam. Since Agony released on consoles, it’s quite possible that Succubus will make its way to the PS4 and Xbox One as well. Stay tuned to PSU for all updates on Madmind Studios’ newest project, Succubus.
Madmind Studios’ previous project, Agony, did not fare so well in regards to industry reception. The game was plagued with major bugs and technical issues, regardless of what platform the game was played on. PS4, Xbox, and PC players alike all suffered similar issues. Our review of Agony goes into most of the technical and performance issues that so many players experienced while they played.
The game was later patched for all platforms, ironing out some of the issues the game launched with.
