Super Stardust HD dev working on three new IPs

Talking with Gamasutra, Finnish Super Stardust HD developer Housemarque revealed that it’s working on three new IPs for different platforms, among which includes a title named Rope and an unnamed exclusive for PlayStation Network.

“They’re both in matters we haven’t dealt with before,” said CEO Ilari Kuittinen. “One of the games is a PSN exclusive for Sony again, continuing our good relationship with them. And that’s gonna be as far as we know, announced at [GamesCom 2009 this August in] Cologne.”

“We are doing also currently our first multiplatform game, for a leading publisher,” he continued. “Again, something different from the past. We haven’t done this kind of a game genre before.”

“What we’ve been able to accomplish in the last 6 months is pitch new IPs for downloadable games. Most of the games out there are new versions of older games, it seems. We’ve been lucky enough to sell our own ideas to publishers.”

Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.
