Acquire president Takuma Endo has revealed that he’s interested in reviving the Tenchu franchise for the PS5 if the opportunity presents itself.
Speaking during an interview with Famitsu magazine, Endo-san said that he’d like to create a new game in the stealth-based franchise for PS5 from the ground-up, but noted it’s currently ‘difficult’ to do so. He added that the ‘Stealth Assassin’ trademark will lay the groundwork for a possible revival.
The trademark was registered by Acquire back in August 2018 because had expired, not because a new game was actually in the pipeline.
