The physical version of The House of the Dead Remake for PS5 is now available at retailers as a standard and limited edition release, Forever Entertainment and Microids have announced.
The Limited Edition (dubbed appropriately the ‘Limidead’ Edition’ version of the game includes a copy of the game, an exclusive lenticular box, two creature silhouettes, and a sticker sheet.
The House of the Dead was originally released in arcades in 1996 before being ported to the Sega Saturn the following year. The premise is simple: fight through Dr. Curien’s mansion and its surrounding grounds, blasting all manner of undead creatures along the way, and put a stop to the mad doctor’s crazed experiments. Like any good rail shooter, The House of the Dead is playable in co-op or solo.
Developer MegaPixel Studio was responsible for the remake, which originally launched for the Nintendo Switch a few years ago before arriving for PS4, PC, and Xbox One in April 2022. The game features fully revamped visuals and numerous quality-of-life improvements over the original. You can read our full review here.
