The Last of Us’ HBO series has reportedly cast Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Joel’s Brother.
As reported by Deadline, Luna, who previously appeared in Terminator: Dark Fate and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Tommy will join Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) in the show, which is set to begin production in July.
The first season of the show will follow the entire first game and feature scenes from the game, alongside brand new sections which weren’t included originally. It isn’t clear how big of a role Tommy will play in the show, but we expect it to be somewhat similar to what we see in the first game.
Whilst this show is preparing to film, Sony is reportedly developing a remake of The Last of Us, which is planned to be packaged with The Last of Us Part 2 for PS5. But, that project has gone through a number of development shifts and it isn’t clear if this is still in development.
