Following months of rumours, CD Projekt RED has officially confirmed that fresh DLC is coming to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the form of Songs of the Past.
Previously it was reported that the new DLC for the critically acclaimed fantasy-RPG would launch in May of this year, which obviously isn’t happening. Furthermore, a Polish analyst firm stated that they expect the DLC to sell around 11 million copies at a price of $30, although at this point a price for Songs of the Past has yet to be revealed.
Songs of the Past will return players to the role of legendary monster slayer Geralt of Rivia for a brand new adventure when it launches in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. CD Projekt Red is co-developing the expansion with Fool’s Theory, a team comprising industry veterans who worked on The Witcher 3.
CDPR confirmed that new details on the expansion will be revealed later this summer, admitting that it was originally planned to unveil Songs of the Past during the anniversary livestream later this week. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past launches in 2027 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
