The executive producer behind Titanfall 2 has confirmed that the upcoming mech-shooter’s campaign mode will last around eight hours.
“There’s a lot of downtime,” said Drew McCoy, during a chinwag with Stevivor. “There’s no dialogue or explosions for minutes at a time.”
Game Director Steve Fukuda added that the time may vary depending on what difficulty you are playing on.
“It’ll be plus or minus [eight hours], depending on how good you are or the level of difficulty you’re playing on,” he said. “It’s a very solid campaign, though."
Titanfall release date confirmed for October 2016 alongside Battlefield 1
Developed by Respawn Entertainment, Titanfall 2 will be released for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on October 28, 2016. The game is released just one week after fellow Electronic Arts stablemate, Battlefield 1.
The Titanfall 2 single-player mode focuses on the exploits of Frontier Militia rifleman, Jack Cooper, who is dispatched to an alien planet alongside his former squadmates titan, BT-7274, to battle against opposing forces from the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation.
While following a linear path, the main campaign is rumored to feature multiple dialogue choices, although this has yet to be confirmed by Respawn or EA.
The original Titanfall was released on the Xbox One back in early 2014, and has reportedly sold 10 million copies as of October 2015. For more on Titanfall 2, follow the links below.
