Despite a haze of speculation to the contrary, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition’s Executive Producer Scot Amos has confirmed that the upcoming next-generation port will be running at 30 frames per second (via Videogamer).
Ever since Crystal Dynamics confirmed that the port would be ‘a colossal effort’ speculation’s been rife as to what the game’s technical specifications would be, with many presuming a full 1080p/60fps effort would be imminent. However, Amos has quelled such thoughts, by confirming on Eurogamer that both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions would each be running at 1080p and 30fps.
Crystal Dynamics’ 2013 reboot of Tomb Raider was met with much critical acclaim upon its initial release and is sure to continue the success garnered when the next-gen ports are released in the coming weeks.
