Ubisoft has revealed during its latest financial report that new entries in the Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Ghost Recon franchises will arrive before the end of April 2029, which marks the conclusion of its 2028 — 2029 fiscal year.
The publisher stated it was anticipating “significantly stronger and diversified content pipeline” during the course of its 2027 — 2028 and 2028 — 2029 fiscal years, with major brand releases such those mentioned above. Ubisoft’s financial year spans April 1 — March 31, which means we can expect a new Assassin’s Creed title and more to arrive no later than March 31, 2029.
The next mainline Assassin’s Creed game is presumably Codename Hexe, which is set to take place during the European Witch Trials and is going to be the “darkest” instalment in the franchise to date. Last month, it was revealed that the game’s director, Benoit Richer, had departed Ubisoft to from his own development studio.
Meanwhile, it has long been rumoured that Far Cry 7 is in the pipeline and was originally in development alongside an Extraction shooter set within the Far Cry universe. However, it has reported that both projects have been combined, with Far Cry 7 now including the Extraction Mode as part of the package. No release date has been confirmed and Ubisoft has yet to officially announce the sequel.
Ubisoft also revealed during its financial report that it is “accelerating” investment for its “first playable generative AI experience,” Teammates. Furthermore, its workforce is also “making tangible progress organically on AI applications that can help manage the growing complexity of modern game development pipelines,” such as “intelligent bots supporting our QC teams, to smarter NPCs and game worlds that can adapt to player behavior and react more dynamically in real time.”
