Ubisoft’s Star Wars Game Reportedly Features A ‘Fully Open, Seamless Universe’

Leaker Tom Henderson has revealed that the upcoming Star Wars title from Ubisoft will feature a fully open, seamless world similar to Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky.

According to the report on Insider-Gaming, the Star Wars game will allow players to jump between systems and explore a huge galaxy that’s brimming with thing to see and do. Furthermore, the game features a fully customisable character and promises to deliver an in-depth story packed with “decades worth of lore, locations, weapons and characters” for Massive Entertainment to draw from.

Henderson speculates that it could rival Starfield in scope, which is the new sci-fi RPG from Bethesda set to launch in 2023 for PC and Xbox formats.

Previously, Ubisoft’s Julian Gerighty had the following to say on the game:

We want to make it a unique game in the saga with a captivating story and set of characters that players can relate to and connect with. We want to take what is familiar and resonant about Star Wars and tell the stories of new characters who have their own motivations and stakes.

Ubisoft Massive’s Star Wars game has yet to attract a release date, although back in December last year, the team were on the lookout for playtesters near Malmo, Sweden.
