Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End floored jaws over the weekend with a 15-minute gameplay demo at the PlayStation Experience, but Sony’s Scott Rhode has revealed that the game’s visuals have evolved far beyond what they were just three weeks prior to the reveal.
Speaking as a follow up to the demo’s reaction, which included plenty of scepticism from some gamers as to whether or not Naughty Dog had managed to match the graphical fidelity of the E3 teaser, Rhode commented:
“Seeing that in development all along, I mean, even seeing it frankly two or three weeks ago, didn’t look like that two or three weeks ago. Those guys are amazing. They pulled it off.”
Naughty recently confirmed that protagonist Nathan Drake sports a whopping 800 facial animations for his next-generation debut, as opposed to the comparatively low 120 count that the PS3 games offered.
