Naughty Dog has released a second day-one patch for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End to accompany the meaty 5GB update it previously prepped for launch day.
Fortunately, this second update is only 140MB and appears to be relatively minor, offering ‘general fixes and improvements.’
Uncharted 4 hits PS4 today following a series of high-profile delays. The game takes place three years after the events of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and sees Nate coming out of retirement as a fortune hunter to help out his brother, Sam, who has return after a 15 year absence.
Together with Drake’s long-time mentor, Victor Sullivan, the siblings head off on a globetrotting hunt for legendary pirate treasure once owned by Henry Avery. Along the way, the trio are pursued by a ruthless mercenary group lead by Nadine Ross, a former acquaintance of Sullivan.
Uncharted 4 makes plenty of effort to spice up the series’ paradigm by adding sandbox-like environments for gamers to explore from time to time, along with a few optional dialogue choices and improved stealth and melee mechanics.
Naughty Dog has confirmed that this will be its final Uncharted game and also the last title to feature Nathan Drake as the central character. However, it hasn’t ruled out the possibility of another developer taking over the franchise reins later down the line.
