Uncharted 4 Plus Edition outed, includes DLC and reversible cover

Sony is planning on releasing a Plus Edition of the hotly anticipated Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End on PlayStation 4, according to New Zealand retailer, Mighty Ape.

The Plus Edition of Naughty Dog’s upcoming action-adventure sequel differs somewhat from the previously-announced Collector’s Edition, and features, “Game, Multiplayer DLC including Heist Drake Multiplayer Skin and Snow Weapon Multiplayer Skin, Alternative box art on reverse of cover and more to be announced soon.”

Sadly, it looks as if the Plus Edition will be limited to New Zealand and Australia only. This particular version of Uncharted 4 can also be found on EB Games Australia, where it again mentions the reversible cover and DLC.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is scheduled for release on PS4 in late April, having been delayed from its original launch date of March 18. The game takes place three years after the events of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and sees Nate coming out of retirement to pursue a legendary pirate’s treasure in Madagascar. His adventure sees him reunited with his long-lost brother, Sam, who was thought to have been killed during an earlier mission.

Naughty Dog has confirmed that Uncharted 4 will be the final game to feature Drake, and has admitted that continuing the series without him is difficult to imagine. In addition, it also recently gave its biggest hint yet that Nate will meet his maker by the time Uncharted 4’s credits roll. The studio has said it has at least one more game to release on the PS4, although it’s keeping tight-lipped on any details at present.

Uncharted 4 will feature a full multiplayer suite as with previous entries although this time around there’s more content thrown into the mix, with the addition of mystical elements and AI-controlled teammates. The game will also include single-player DLC for the first time in the franchise’s history.
