In his video message regarding Final Fantasy XV’s delayed release, director Hajime Tabata stated a video of the first 30 minutes of the game would be released today and Square Enix has delivered with a chunky video of the first 50 minutes of the highly-anticipated RPG.
If you want to experience playing Final Fantasy XV yourself completely spoiler-free, we recommend not watching the gameplay.
Yesterday, Final Fantasy XV for PlayStation and Xbox One was officially delayed to November 29, 2016, two months later than the original September 30, 2016. Tabata revealed in his video message that the game is technically finished with a master version, equivalent to a “gone gold” version sent to the factory to print discs, completed.
However, Tabata and his team do not feel the master version is up to the quality and have been working on a substantial day one patch. Thus, the extra time will be used to polish Final Fantasy XV further and include the day-one patched version of the game right on the disc, for the benefit of players who otherwise would not be able to download and apply a day-one patch.
