Guide: What Is EA Access?

What is EA Access

If you’ve been spending any amount of time on our site in the last few weeks, you will have noticed a handful of stories about EA Access on PS4, but just what is EA Access?

Well dear reader, we’ve got all the answers for you right here.

What Is EA Access?

EA Access is a subscriber platform that allows players to play all the games from EA’s back catalog, enjoy a 10% discount on all EA purchases (including DLC and micro-transactions such as Ultimate Team etc.) and take advantage of ten hour long trials for not-yet-released EA games.

This would include forthcoming games such as Madden NFL 20, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and many more besides.

In short, if you’re a fan of EA games and want to play a whole heap of games (with new ones added every month) at a flat rate cost, then EA Access on PS4 represents great value for money.

EA Access Price – How Much Does It Cost?

In terms of subscription, the pricing structure for EA Access on PS4 is fairly reasonable. The cost of the service is £3.99/$4.99 a month or £19.99/$29.99 for a 12-month subscription.

EA Access Hub – What Is It?

The EA Access hub is essentially your gateway to EA Access. An app that you can download from the PlayStation Store (see below for links), the EA Access Hub keeps you up to date with all the EA Vault titles you can download (games from EA’s back catalog), the latest game trials you can stuck into and any other promotions which are exclusive to EA Access PS4 subscribers.

EA Access – What Games Are Available?

EA Access PS4 will launch with a massive range of games – you can get the full list right here. However, there are a handful of titles that are missing from the PS4 version of the service, too. Also, the games available on EA Access vary by region too.

EA Access – Do I Keep The Games If I Cancel?

If you cancel your subscription the games and trials you have downloaded will only remain available until the point at which your membership stops. So, if you take out an EA Access membership on August 1st for one month and cancel it, you’ll still be able to play those games right up until September 1st.
