Trowzer the snake is an invaluable ally in Yooka-Laylee, providing the duo with new abilities throughout the game. He will gift you several of the abilities like invisibility and flight through the hub world of Hivory Towers as you progress, but others are only available once you reach new worlds, and must be purchased. Here’s a breakdown of every ability you can buy from Trowzer’s Worldwide Incredible Traders (or TWIT for short).

Note that in the first stage you can only the first three abilities, but from there on every subsequent stage you can buy any previous abilities as well as one or two new ones specific to that new world.
Tribalstack Tropics
Sonar Shot (30 Quills): “Ssshoot sssuper sssonar ssshots to ssshow sssecrets.”
Uses include activating sleeping totems and stunning enemies.
Slurp Shot (30 Quills): “Ssslurp ‘edible’ objects and fire projectilesss.”
Uses include feeding purple Ghost Writers to obtain them.
Buddy Slam (30 Quills): “A sssmashing move, thisss one.”
Uses include defeating enemies with protection from your spin attack, and destroying blocks beneath you.
Glitterglaze Glacier
Slurp State (40 Quills): “Absssorb the powersss of gobbled itemsss.”
Uses include slurping items like cannons to make you heavy or honey to make you sticky.
Lizard Leap (40 Quills): “You’ll need thisss to contessst my jump recordsss.”
High jump by holding L2 and pressing X.
Moodymaze Marsh
Lizard Lash (60 Quills): “Reach high pointsss using this sssimple manoeuvre.”
Use Yooka’s tongue like a hookshot to launch across wide gaps, attach to scenery, and more.
Sonar ‘Splosion (60 Quills): “A bit naughty, thisss move. Don’t ussse near glass.”
Create a large sonic boom by holding L2 and pressing the triangle button. Uses include stunning/hurting large groups of enemies at once. It can be used to break blocks with blue, glowing outlines.
Capital Cashino
Reptile Rush (80 Quills): “Ssspindash just like ssspeedy gaming icon Trowzer!”
Use R2 + square to activate the spin dash, which will send you rolling speedily forward. You can break cracked glass by spin dashing into it. Use on ramps for maximum efficiency and airtime.
Galleon Galaxy
Sonar Shield (100 Quills): “I use this to keep crazy fansss from touching.”
Hold R2 and press triangle to make you invincible to damage for a short time. You can only maintain the invincibility while rolled up in a ball, so there’s no flying, jumping, or swimming with the shield active.
