Abandoned Developer Insists ‘We Are 100% Real,’ Explains Realtime Experience Patch Delay

Blue Box Game Studio, the developer behind the upcoming horror title Abandoned, has taken to Twitter yet again this week to explain why it had to postpone its Realtime Experience patch, as well as insisting ‘we are 100% real’ for all those folk out there who still think the game is one big farce.

The Realtime Experience App allows users to watch any Abandoned trailers in realtime using the PS5’s meaty hardware, and was originally due out on August 10. That didn’t happen, obviously, and things have now been delayed to an as-yet undisclosed date.

Here’s what the studio had to say on Twitter:

Abandoned is currently in development for the PS5, although all we know so far is that it’s going to be as survival horror game set in the United States.

Following its reveal, a lot of conspiracy theories started doing the rounds, insisting that it’s actually another joke by Hideo Kojima similar to his Moby Dick Studios fake out for The Phantom Pain years ago.

Blue Box Game Studios has insisted repeatedly this isn’t the case, and has admitted that these rumors have negatively affected Abandoned’s development.
