Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, which has still yet to be given an official reveal, has been rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
The listing confirms Daybreak Game Company is the publisher for the sequel, although apart from the Mature rating, there’s nothing else to garner from the ESRB rating.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, however. Back in July 2024, it was reported that the sequel was planned for release in the third quarter of 2025, and was known internally as Project Macondo. The details originated from a document that made the rounds on social media, which added the game is a full sequel to Aliens: Fireteam Elite and will feature “preset character archetypes and non-customisable characters.”

Cold Iron Studios announced back in October 2023 that it had shifted gears from supporting Aliens: Fireteam Elite to work on its next title (presumably the aforementioned sequel), and as such would only release various quality-of-life updates for the first game, with major content updates no longer planned.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite was developed by Cold Iron Studios and released for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One in 2021.
