Ubisoft’s still-unannounced Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, a remake of the 2013 swashbuckling action-adventure game, has leaked once again in the form of a domain registration spotted by X user @TheHiddenOneAC.
The domain itself was registered on December 12, one day after The Game Awards, which is where many of us probably expected Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced to be announced. The registrar, GANDI SAS, was previously responsible for inking domains for various Ubisoft properties including Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Splinter Cell.
Here’s what they had to say in a post on X:
I was checking to see if Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced had a domain registered, and it does. It was registered recently only 25 days ago.It’s registered through GANDI SAS, a French registrar that’s always been Ubisoft’s default, and they use it all the time across their IPs like Far Cry, Prince of Persia, Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell, Just Dance, and so on.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has been rumoured for a while now, with a report on Insider Gaming claiming that the title is due to ship by March 31, 2026. Furthermore, the voice actor for protagonist Edward Kenway from the original Black Flag said that Ubisoft threatened to sue him after he previously hinted at the existence of the remake.
Ubisoft launched Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U on October 29, 2012, and was followed by versions for PC, PS4, and Xbox One the following month. The game also arrived for Nintendo Switch in 2019.
