Ubisoft has started to reupload the original soundtrack for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag to its music account, sparking hope that the long-rumoured remake – previously outed as Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced – could finally be announced soon.
As spotted by Insider Gaming, 18 tracks from the original game’s soundtrack have been uploaded to Ubisoft Music, while the publisher’s YOuTube channel also features other videos added and hidden on playlists. Naturally, this has prompted a lot of speculation that Ubisoft is gearing up to reveal Assassin’s Creed Resynced, which at this point is one of the worst-kept secrets of recent memory in the games industry.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that a domain registration for the remake had been unearthed online, and follows extensive leaks about the project, which will apparently include weather effects similar to those seen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and an improved map. According to Insider Gaming, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will launch before March 31, 2026, and claims marketing is set to begin at some point this month.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag was originally released in 2023 for PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. The game acts as a prequel to Assassin’s Creed III, and is set during the Golden Age of Piracy where we follow swashbuckler Edward Kenway as he becomes embroiled in the long-running war between the Assassin Brotherhood and Templar Order.
