Ubisoft has launched its Assassin’s Creed Valhalla free weekend today on PS4 & PS5, giving you the chance to sample the sprawling Viking epic without committing with your cash.
The free weekend comes just four days before Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set to leave PS Plus Extra, and will wrap up on December 19.
The full version of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be available to play in the free weekend, and as per usual, any progress you make can be transferred over to the full version of the game if you decide to buy it.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was released for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One back in late 2020, and to date is the latest instalment in the franchise. Ubisoft has kept things ticking over with robust post-launch content, with The Final Chapter acting as the last major story-driven content drop.

Ubisoft has already confirmed two of these projects in the shape of the Japan-set Assassin’s Creed Red and the European-focussed Assassin’s Creed Hexe.
