Borderlands 3 Mayhem Mode Guide

Most players will not have reached the endgame yet in Borderlands 3 but when you do there are a few things that await you. One of those things is Mayhem mode. Is it worth your time and effort? What is it? How do I access it? All will be answered in the quick guide below.

Borderlands 3 Mayhem Mode, How do I Access It?

To access Mayhem mode you will have needed to complete the Borderlands 3 campaign. Then after accessing a console in Sanctuary III you can select Mayhem level one, two or three. I would not access three straight away though until you have tooled up a bit. The enemies hit hard and you will need to gear up effectively. In True Vault Hunter mode, Mayhem mode is unlocked separately, so you will need to run through the campaign again to unlock it. Good luck Vault Hunters.

Borderlands 3 Mayhem Mode, What Is It?

Essentially, in its simplest terms, Mayhem mode increases the difficulty of the game and rewards more loot, cash and Eridium in return. Enemies will have increased health, shields and have more armor but your chances of rare loot amplify massively.

Also added into the mix are game modifiers. These modifiers will generate every time you enter a new area and they are bountiful in number. They can be anything from a damage increase from certain weapons to stat bonuses and even slight enemy changes. Its nice to see things getting mixed up a bit in different areas in the game and it should make players think a bit more about what weapons and skills they are using.

You still have time to look at our VIP code list and earn yourself some new weaponry, skins or other Borderlands 3 goodies. The list is updated regularly and there are thousands of points you can still claim. There are several guns on there to earn as well as a nice legendary when you claim eight weapons from the VIP scheme. Even if you just sell them, its free cash, if nothing more.
