It’s unfortunately pretty common knowledge that Street Fighter 5 has had a major problem with rage-quitters since day one (if you could get online day one that is), as Capcom put in no measures with which to punish it. At first, Capcom asked players to help report quitters using images and video captured via PS4’s Share function.
Not long after that, the developer decided to target users with a high disconnect rate, and deduct a portion of their earned League Points. Those points were pretty much the reason why they quit in the first place, avoiding a deduction by being unsporting.
With that not doing enough to tackle the problem properly, it now seems that a better system is in the works at Capcom, as the developer tweeted a new announcement yesterday revealing that they are working on a fresh way to combat the quitters.
We’re planning to roll out a system this month that will address the rage quitting issue in #SFV. More details coming soon!

Let’s hope that this time it does the job. Street Fighter V has been plagued with issues since its launch back in February, causing it to tumble out of the Top 40 rapidly. It’s a huge shame as the fighting itself is second to none. Nevertheless, it affected the score when we reviewed it.
