In a recent leak by Walmart, numerous unannounced games have been listed, including a new Splinter Cell and Just Cause 4. Among those games is Destiny Comet, which is listed as a full-priced game.
This could just be a mistake by Walmart, but if Destiny Comet is a real, what on Earth is it? Well, we’re pretty certain it’s a new expansion for Destiny 2.
In previous years, the word Comet has been used as a codename for other expansions before the full name was revealed. And Bungie has laid out a clear roadmap for Destiny 2, which currently runs up until September.
Following the release of the Warmind expansion this week, there's more changes planned for the Summer, and for Season 4 in September. It's looking likely that the new expansion will land during that period.
Just like Warmind, the Destiny Comet expansion (still to be officially named) will likely include a new campaign, alongside a new destination, Raid, crucible map and legendary and exotic gear.
This definitely makes sense because the original Destiny had four expansions, ending with the Rise of Iron in September, so Bungie are likely following a similar roadmap.
