Destiny’s game world has been reset for another week, which means Guardians have a fresh set of missions to tackle over the course of the next seven days. We should also point out that there’s a whole new Halloween event launched too, and we’ve covered everything in our guide for those who fancy giving it a shot.
Anyway, on with the reset. First up, the Nightfall has been refreshed and now takes place on the Sunless Cell mission, complete with Void Burn, Brawler, Juggler, and Ironclad modifiers active. Meanwhile, the Prison of Elders has been refreshed to include Machine Wrath and Cult of the Worm for Levels 32 and 34, respectively.
Destiny: The Taken King was released on September 15 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The expansion introduces a wealth of changes to the shared-world shooter, including a new levelling system, where your character’s level and Light Level are two separate entities. The content was well-received, topping the U.K. All Format Charts upon release and selling the majority of copies on the PS4. The most recent update for The Taken King increases your chances of better loot drops from missions.
In addition to revamping the levelling system, The Taken King also introduces a new Guardian subclass for each character type (Titan, Warlock and Hunter), and implements a brand new Raid, which also recently got buffed with a hard difficulty. New exotic weapons have also been added, and tweaks have been made to the Nightfall/Heroic Strike playlist. Be sure to read our guide on Xur’s Three of Coins for those looking to grab an exotic engram.
Stay tuned to PSU for details on the weeky Armsday reset tomorrow, where you’ll be able to test drive a series of new weapons for the tower gunsmith, as well as order some new Legendary gear.
