Following news that Dragon’s Dogma II will be released in March 2024, it’s now been confirmed that the sequel is Capcom’s first game to cost $69.99.
The Standard Edition of Dragon’s Dogma II will cost $69.99/£59.99 on PS5, while the Deluxe Edition of the upcoming RPG will retail for $79.99/£69.99.
The fact Capcom is charging a premium price for Dragon’s Dogma II isn’t surprising at this point, seeing as how many third-party game developers at this point are also doing the same. Furthermore, Capcom president Haruhiro Tsujimoto said back in September that he feels game prices are too low.
Dragon’s Dogma II is scheduled for release on March 22, 2024 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. The game’s director recently revealed that players won’t encounter any loading screens while exploring the open-world, and that the team took some inspiration from Grand Theft Auto V while working on the sequel.
